About Us

Introduction
Stars and Stripes Learning Center was founded in 2004 by director, Judy Elliott. We are here to offer another alternative to the families on Marco Island. I am a professional child care provider, who has been working and operating a child care facility
on Marco Island since 1982. To facilitate greater understanding between parents
and provider I have created this website. It covers all of my child care philosophies,
business policies and expectations. If you have any questions concerining anything you just read feel free to contact us via the contact page up top. Finally, we would like to thank you for looking through this website and dedicating the time to read this, once again we will devote our time to you and your child's needs.
Our Philosophy
Our goal is to provide all of the children in our care, clean, safe, and comfortable, loving, home-like environment, where they can play and learn. Respect toward self, others and the environment will be emphasized. We believe in the value of both structured and flexible schedules. Structured activities will include the use of a preschool curriculum, regular reading times, arts and crafts, and musical activities. Outdoor plays, free play, and educational-style videos are just some of the more flexible activities
we have. The most important priority is to have FUN! At Stars and Stripes Learning Center, we believe that every child is unique and deserving of a nurturing and
supportive environment that fosters their social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
Communication
Good communication is of the utmost importance to me. When I accept a new family into my business, I like to be sure that we can share openly about any concerns or questions that may arise. It is important that there is a similar philosophy between the parents and me. I welcome questions, feedback, or discussions of any kind that are oriented towards a positive outcome for the child(ren). Sensitive issues will be discussed in private outside of regular child care hours. It is my goal to create a monthly newsletter for parents that will explain some of the activities we are doing, the current curriculum topics, events that will be happening that month, days off, or any other pertinent or fun information that may be of interest to the parent/families.
